General: The settlement was built in the second half of the 4th century BC but was destroyed by fire at the close of the 3rd century BC. It consisted of a series of industrial complexes that were connected by staircases cut into the bedrock. Excavations indicate that these areas were used to process cloth, and it is possible that structures identified as workshops also contained living quarters, perhaps on a second story.
